Painting of course. Great masters of this fine art created in Netherlands, and several of them became highly appreciated and worked even in the Temple of Arts, Italy.
Their contribution to painting is their conception of chiaro-scuro, that is the way they used the light and the shade. Rembrandt is famous for this, although influenced by Carravaggio. But also they were the first to depict surrealistic scenes: Bosch and Bruguel could compete e.g. Dali.
In addition, there is a contradictory evolution in Flemish painting, but simultaneously a secure identity: From Memling to Rubens there's a distance and a closeness at the same time....

While the others all have the most known art in the Netherlands, the Dutch have been active in all fine arts.
Architecture, sculpture, gold and silver, jewelry, glass, embroidery, lace, music, you name it and the Dutch have a few famous names, but most are not world famous in that everybody in the world knows them, but they are famous enough that people interested in that art will know and honour them.
