Actually being active will help in you development. Eat healthy and a well balanced diet, with exercise is better for you. However drinking soda and sitting around will stunt your growth. They have found that soda actually leeches calcium from your bones and slows down the bone growth process.
Take a vitamin that is calcium AND vitamin D. The human body can not break down and absorb the calcium alone, and Vitamin D aids with the absobtion of the Calcium.

Pull ups are an awesome exercise regardless of age. Stunting your growth is a myth. Try wide grip pull ups for chest and back. Close grip underhand for arms and chest.

None of this will stunt your growth. Do some more research on the web, because the info you're getting elsewhere is all wrong.

You'll be fine if anything pullups may stetch youi out a bit lol. But seriously you are fine just not a good idea to do heavy exercise before puberty for some reason but after that you can do whatever you like.
It is like I played baseball when I was young but coach would not let me throw a curve ball until I was like 14 something to do with tissue development in my elbow or something.

Yes it is OK. But if you weigh under 175 lbs, don't work out with weights that are over 200 lbs. But pull-ups - close-grip and wide-grip, as well as behind the head and 'chin-ups' are excellent for building shoulders. Push-ups help to complement pull-ups...
You might consider handstands, also... and handstand pushups against the wall.

You'll be fine. Exercise can actually encourage growth. Also, get plenty of rest (you actually grow more when you are sleeping) and eat a good, balanced diet. Enjoy!
