That depends on the audience. When they are with conservatives they are opposed but then they go to the gay debate and think it is great to have civil unions but most of the time they do seem to oppose actual marriage.

Who cares? Gay marriage, abortion, flag burning, and stem-cell research are emotional issues that stir people up but aren't really significant to the management of this country. We need to focus on important issues such as:
1. Ending this insane Iraq war;
2. Repairing our infrastructure;
3. Helping America's poor, disabled, sick, disadvantaged, elderly, underprivileged, unemployed, hungry and homeless;
4. Eliminating corporate welfare;
5. Reforming campaign financing laws; outlawing lobbyists; giving all candidates equal campaign funds;
6. Forcing the federal government to live within its means;
7. Outlawing the corrupt two-party political system;
8. Enhancing voters' choices;
9. Cutting the bloated federal government by 90% or more;
10. Allowing the government less power over its people.

Canadites? Do you mean the people who live in Canada? I think they feel about the same way as people in the US do.
If you meant candidates, I think Democrats are pretty much for it and Republicans are pretty much against it.

All of the Republicans are against gay marriage and all of the Democrats think that Republicans are pandering on the issue in order to make Democrats look bad (and most Democrats don't want to talk about gay marriage).

Only Kicinich is for gay marriage...not civil unions.
Careful though, he also advocates paying blacks reparations over slavery. Basically, he's trying hard to be all things to all people.

I don't know about the republican candidates I believe the ABC debate they brought it up but noone answered it directly, but the LOGO debate can be viewed at the above link and each candidate answers many questions about gay marrage and gay rights.

Who really cares. We have bigger issues to deal with than another special interest group with an agenda.
