I'm a typical Libra. My dad is a typical Aries. We don't get on. Full stop. LOL. I thought that Librans and Arians just didn't get on, but in some horoscopes, it says that they can get on quite well. So, which is right?

Libra gets along well with Aries. Not too bad a match, Aries With Libra has a good chance.
These two make a pretty good combination. The warm and passionate Libra can build a make a welcome for the fiery, impulsive Aries. This will be particularly true if both persons are on the same cultural and intellectual level. This could be a poor match if either one of them is from a culture or religion varying from their own, unless they know this weakness and is willing to work with it.
Aries appreciates the passion and emotion that Libra person possesses, but too much of a good thing could make this go wrong. There has to be a balance for this to work. There is a wide margin for error though, and most of these combinations will stand the test of time. Libra's refined and artistic temperament yearns for attachments, but it must be reciprocal, this is something Aries can deliver.

From what I have learned (im an aries) they can get along great. You see libra and aries are exactly opposite of each other in the zodiac. This means that they can compliment each other or keep running head on into each other. If you are your dad try to understand each others strength's and weaknesses then you can learn to get along. You like to keep the peace more so honestly since you're the Libra you might have to give in more than he does. An aries is very stubborn sometimes. Just know that its just who he is and work with it. What else can you do? :)

Aries (a fire sign) and Libra (an air sign) our opposites but that doesn't mean that the two cannot get along. Sometimes opposites get along extremely well but differences can cause disagreements. But, I don't believe that zodiacs completely define all of who we are and how we'll act. Situations that we deal with as well as the relationships we have can make what a zodiac might say untrue. A relationship, like a father-daughter one, can put strain on how they act towards each other because of what they have to do based on their roles.

Actually they can get along well that is if they understand each other meaning they are educated about each other, and that they know their differences. My soul mate is a Libra and im an Aries. Another thing- they can totally learn alot from each other, and in truth they balance each other perfectly because they are opposites on the zodiac wheel. I also have alot of libra friends. Good point though about them having to be both evolved, it can be difficult if they are not, but if they are it can be awesome!!

Actually, they do get along very well romantically. My daughter is a pushy Aries and her soulmate is a sweet push-over Libra and they are the best couple!
My dad is an Aries, though, and I know a few Aries' parents. The Aries parents can seem overbearing to their children. They mean well, it just comes off that way. A lot!

Sometimes opposites attract - outside a parent/child relationship. I am aware of a couple who were both at the end of their respective signs - she Aries and he Libra. They were very happy together for over 35+ years.
They are both leaders. The difficulty comes from Libra is here to relate to others and understand relationships (hence your question). Aries are here to learn about themselves. An evolved Aries realized there's some others in the world other than themselves and are more conscious of the consequences of their actions. These are the ones capable of a decent relationship with a Libra.

On one of the other answers, it lists an Aries-Libra relationship has difficult. I agree with this. From my own experience, Aries/Libra relationships for me were difficult. I admired the Libra and there were a lot of good qualities in them that I enjoyed; especially the conversations. That was my favorite part of an Aries-Libra relationship. Such good conversations. Apart from that though, it was just difficult. Not a bad relationship but glad it ended. Miss the conversations though.

There are childish books about Astrology at drugstores that say silly things. It is not as simple as just looking at Sun signs to determine relationships. Immature books say Sun signs of the same elements get along, but that is vastly oversimplified. Easy answers to anything are worthless. I studied Astrology for a year and more at a good school and paid much money for lessons and good books to use to make charts. It is infuriating when so many people prefer to heed some cheap book from a drugstore to my costly ones. One must look at the total chart, especially aspects of the planets that are involved in relationships and the houses pertinent to them. It takes hours to do a chart. I am skeptical about even the best charts, let alone such childish stuff that looks only at Sun signs.
