First, The preliminaries.

Tell her everything is going to be alright because you are a doctor. Then press the RED emergency button. Then have her lie down on her back and with her knees elevated. Then tell her to be calm and listen to the gentle elevator music. If the power is out and there is no elevator music, quietly hum "Imagine" like it was elevator music.

Once she is settled, you must perform the medical procedure.

Using your fingernail or a pen, pop off one of the elevator buttons, preferably not the L button because that gets used a lot. Pick a high floor number. Then use the button as a cork to slow down the baby coming out. Push the button in, but not too deep - the baby's head is in there and you don't want the baby born with an elevator button pressed into his head. To be safe, stand to the side in case the button comes flying out.

Then wait for help. (Also, do not forget to ask the mother for her telephone number so you can ask for a reward later.)

Nothing. I WAS that 9 month pregnant lady stuck in an elevator once, nothing happened.

♥ Well if her water had not broken and she was not in active labor then I would just keep her company and talk to her. If she was in labor then I would help her deliver the baby as safely as we could. And I would of course press the emergency button on the elevator.

I would hope that the lift is repaired before the birth.
I also hope that I'm not the only one in the lift with her.

If I was definitely the only person with her I should imagine that if the birth started I would make her comfortable and help her as much as possible.

Good question...

Become MacGyver and fix the elevator with pencils, toothpicks, rubber bands and bits of gum.

Seriously thought, if help didn't arrive in time. I would help her deliver the baby.

Pray. Hopefully my cell phone would be getting some bars and there would be a Dr. trapped along with us. Yikes! That would be a little spooky.

Do my best, remain calm and deliver the baby if it comes to that. I hope her labor will last long enough for the repairman and the paramedics to arrive.

Nothing, except if she actually went into labor. Then I'd help deliver a baby.
