An entity can distort its relationships for a certain time and to a varying degree. It may seem for a time that there is independence, but no thing can conduct an activity without affecting every other thing, even if it is not always obvious.

Personally I feel that we are inter dependent to all things around us. Our action can affect other things and vice versa.

definitely unless u r robinson crusoe. even he had to depend on nature - plants animals etc. so its impossible to live a 'dependent-free' life. so we must strive for peace and love and reduce the mess in this world by turning the dependency to a more positive vibe

They are. A crude example would be that we give off CO2 that the plants use to breath (per say) and they give off O2 which we also use to breath.
