A home pregnancy test is accurate about 2 weeks after ovulation. However, if you aren't sure when you ovulated then you would need to wait 19 days to get an accurate result. Because sperm can live up to 5 days and then if you ovulated on the 5th day after unprotected sex then you would need to wait 2 weeks past ovulation.

It depends on the test. Read the instructions. Some tests can show results from 2 weeks but not all. The box should say.

It usually does take about two weeks but if you feel like your pregnant and it isnt showing up I would wait a couple of days and test again. Do it in the morning with your first urine of the day it contains the most of the hormone level found in pregnant women.

It all depends upon when you actually concieved. The test can't "find" a pregnancy until after implantation. That means that if you tested even 1 day before implantation, you could have tested too early. Wait a few days before retesting or ask your doc for a blood test.

Its usually most accurate the first day of a missed period. Some new tests say they can detect up to 5 days before a missed period but they didn't work for me, mine only showed a very faint positive about 4-5 days after my missed period.

I did a test on the evening of the day my period was due. A very dark red line appeared at the same time as the test line.

If you have a good test you can some times tell a week before your missed period.

I believe it is two weeks, but going to the doctor for a more accurate blood test would be better.
