I always start a great idea for books and start writing them, but then sometimes without even realizing it, I stop. Or sometimes, I just stop. I haven't finished one of my book ideas in years, and it is really getting annoying to me because now I have a new really good book idea, probably one of my best. But now I am afraid to write it because I know that I will most likely trail off...is there anyway I can focus myslef on writing my books? I once tried making myself work on the book for at least an 30 mins to an hour each day, but it didn't work. Are there any ways I can stay focused? Thank you.

Try writing it as a short story, then if it get too big to be a short story, make it a novella... try to determine how the story will end before you start (this may change, my do) and aim for that ending, keeping the action going till that last END is written...

i was going to say "get a magnifying glass"! but thought
about it.
Have a read of some of the work of that heroine Hellen Keller.
She worked-with and lived with her Teacher who was called
Anne macy Sullivan.
If your work is fanciful and not serious, then your readable
thoughts will not be"really good or even focussed".

Learn yoga or do mediation of some kind. Be trained in one of these disciplines and it will free up you mind for you to focus better.

may well be a nap ingredient, or a environmental ingredient(etc boring atmosphare, occasional waiting around), yet i think of this is common to point a pass to to the quacks. you should be low on a nutrition your physique desires or something..
