We have the same problem for our son who plays ice hockey and we are allowed under the Ice Hockey League in Dallas to play under a different districts school since it is not offered in our high school. Check around and ask a lot of questions but it is probably legal if your school doesn't have a team.
Sandy :)
Good luck!

Hell Yeah I was. It doesn't happen very often. I got to play for both teams I was a catcher for the varsity team and I got to play 4 innings w/ the freshmen team. I was only allowed to play for 13 innings total. If a guy is better than the older guys why not put them on the better team?

The first step is to get your Athletic Director involved. THat person should be able to point you in the right direction as far as who you could play for and if there are forms to fill out. If you are that interested and your state does not permit that then you may have to transfer schools to a school that does provide what you are looking for.

Depends on the state probably.
However, I think the better route would be to find a private funded team if possible. I know people who do that for hockey since our school lacks a hockey team. Or I know that they got enough interest and started a intramural football team.

You say your school doesn't have a varsity baseball team and you want to play for another school? Well, that certainly won't hurt YOUR school...I suggest you go ask your school's sports director about this.

It should be illegal for your school not to have a varsity baseball team. Do you live in Montana?

You couldnt go to jail or anything for it. I'm just not sure the school would let you play.
