Alltel Wireless Internet?

Does anyone have the Alltel Wireless internet that acctualy works better than Dial up???? Mine will only run about 8kbps

I have the Kyocera wireless card that Alltel provides for the wireless access. It is advertised to be 2.4Mbps. When I go on line with there service I run on average at 8kbps, I have to reconnect at least 3 times in a 2 hour period. The claim the serveice is working fine. They say my computer will not run high speed. I ahve teken it in twice and tey say it is Alltel.

I have a cousin that works at alltel and i know if you have their service you can get high speed through your phone (if it supports it). I think it is 25 bucks a month and what you do is simply get a cord that plugs into your phone to your usb in your computer. Your computer sees it as a internet connection and your get your internet threw your phone. I'm not sure how the speed is but my cousin says that it is pretty fast if you are in good coverage area.
