...what if that's how "This" universe started...and their "experiment" works, but because there's no difference between a "tiny" Big Bang and a "large" Big Bang...?!?

They accidently destroy this universe by replacing it with the new one...(I mean...they say that at some point at the beginning, all matter emerged from a tiny singularity...shouldn't some alarm bells be going off inside people's minds on this one...?)

The Large Hadron Collider, which is where the "mini-Big Bang" experiment will likely take place, has been up and running since 2000, conducting similar experiments with an energy output less than what strikes the earth every second. Rather than fearing a new universe being created, a more likely by product is that of miniature black holes, which most scientists theorize would instantly be extinguished by Hawking radiation. Worst case scenario is that we are all killed instantly, and without being aware of it.

In which case everyone's spared from someone getting to say "I told you so."

Creating a new 'universe' does not mean ours has to be destroyed. The smash hit "Men In Black" does a beautiful job of putting life and our universe into an alternate perspective at the end. Why can't a universe fit into the palm of your hand? Or even smaller? My 7th grade science teacher opened my mind one day when he offered that we all might very well be part of some being's science experiment, watching us from outside our little glass jar.

This could be a scientific breakthrough with massive implications. But it could also be a complete bust. Don't get too worried about it. It's all a matter of size- where size doesn't matter!

Yes, one does wonder how this will go, since a flawless degree of wisdom and good judgment do not appear to be among the strong points exhibited by "our" government.

My concern today is how they plan to employ the frequency and energy weapons they have, which some say will be deployed against U S citizens, experimentally, to check out the results. It's embarrassing, and dangerous. to have a government run by psychopaths, is it not? :)

I heard about this too. They are doing this off in Europe, I believe. When I asked my science teacher about this, he told me that what they will do is smash two particles together, and observe what happens. Given that they do this already in particle acclerators, I think you may sleep well at night knowing that you won't be blown to bits due to this accelerator. Unless you are living right above it, and at that point, I would move.

Most likely nothing interesting will happen at all. It isn't "history" that there was a big bang, its theory, no scientist really knows where the universe came from, its all speculation. No one can explain how matter came into existence from no matter, it violates a large variety of laws.

So you can relax! =D

They probably are, like in yours. What are you going to do about it?
