Steady Eddy can joke about people like himself but others can not is that fair and why?

Insider humour is always different from the jokes made by outsiders. It takes a lot of understanding and awareness to be able to walk the line and not fall off into ridicule. Few people take the time to do that.

Those of us who live with disability never get to step away from that knowledge. Humour is the only way to keep our sanity.

anything can be funny looked at the right way. a joke is just a joke and the only way to judge a gag is weather or not its funny.

It is more a function of offensiveness than anything else. Some people can get away with saying some things in jest because other people realize that they are not being mean-spirited.

Who cares? If some jokes offend you, don't subscribe to them. Turn the channel. Who cares? You are the one with all the power. And yes, anyone can make fun of anyone. Its called freedom of speech.

It's fair. In return for having to live with a disability, he gets to make jokes you don't get to make. I still think you came out ahead, don't you?

i think its good to joke sometimes, it takes the stress off yourself that can easily get you down. like the fact that you are different from others physically.
