37 weeks is a good time to have your baby. Not every woman will go full term, but i think 37 weeks is long enought to know that your baby's lungs are developed and he/she shouldn't have any breathing difficulties.

You could try walking to progress the labour, good luck and i hope everything goes well.

Im officially 36 and starting to get pretty eager too...i just keep reminding myself that the baby will come when she is ready and i should just enjoy my last few weeks of quiet and reflection on this journey that I'm about the embark on. Sleep as much as you can and enjoy that sleep! Walking around will only help progress labor if it's already started...so, if youre not in the very beginning stages of labor it wont do anything as far as that's concerned (i just had a convo with my doc about this, simply because all i do for work is walk around. she said it makes nooooooo difference unless labor has begun a bit.) Just think of how fast these last 37 weeks have gone by, and remember youve probably only got 3 weeks to go! congrats, its starting to get VERYYYYY exciting

37 weeks is considered 'term' (well, in the UK anyway) so the hosp/ midwife would not be expecting complications. However, it is known that every day the baby is in the uterus up until 40 weeks is beneficial. On the other hand, the huge majority of babies born at 37 weeks are just fine. My sister's baby was born at 32 weeks and was absolutely fine. So I'd say don't worry- go with the flow, the walks may or may not help get things going, but just relax, and enjoy!

**Congratulations!!!!**

37 weeks is still full term. Unless the baby was going to have problems anyway then there should be no problems from delivering at 37 weeks.

No, I've read that a baby born at 37 weeks is considered full term.

21 weeks, 1st baby

At 37 weeks you should be fine to have a baby. He or she , might be a little bit smaller if born now than three weeks from now though, but there should be any major complications. Your body will go into labor when it is ready to, and walking won't cause early labor if the baby isn't ready. Good luck!

No it wouldn't be bad if you have your baby now. Just keep in mind you can go weeks at 3 cm dialated. I was 2 cm dialated at 37 weeks and didn't go until I was 40 weeks and I was induced due to leaking water. Just keep in mind that baby will come when he/she is ready. :) Good luck.

I dont think so. My mom had twins at 6 months and one of them survived ( but has AS ). But you are farther into the pregnancy than that and now with todays medical care, you baby will be fine. (My mom had the babies in 87') If I were you, I would wait as long as possible though.

I say my dr on Thursday and asked him when it was safe to go into labour as I was 35 weeks then. He said to me that any time before 36 weeks and they would try and stop it but after 36 weeks it was considered safe.

Good luck!

It depends on if your doctor was right about your due date. Due dates are only an estimate. They can be off by up to 2 weeks, so if your doctor is wrong you might only be 35 weeks, and then your baby could possibly have problems. It is better to wait it out.
