♥ Thats a really hard question because there's no right answer. Many people [[the family members especially]] believe the efforts should continue to find their loved ones. However in the efforts to find their loved ones 3 other families lost their loved ones, and there is no indication that those minors are still alive after 10 days... the air samples that they took showed that there was not enough oxygen to support life at all [[must less to support weaker lives that need more oxygen]], they havent had any food or water... and by now they are probably very close to gone [[if not already gone]]. Its horrible that these things happen and I'm sure if it were my loved one that I'd want the efforts to continue [[even if only to find the body for proper burial.]] Bless those miners, their families & all those rescuers!

Both my brother andI worked in underground union coal mines. It's dangerous work under the best conditions. The mines we worked at were closed and now are reopening non-union. My brother just started at one of them about 4 months ago. Safety has gone out the window Everyone doing dangerous things, thincs they shouldn't do saety wise because they are afraid of losing their jobs. This what happened in Utah. The owner of the Utah mine is the owner of the mine where my brother works. These miners were somewhere they should not've been doing something they shouldn't have been doing. Idon't fault the miners The fault lies at the top. Icould explain why but it would take time. Ithink thet should try and recover the bodies. The accident should be fully inspected by the dept. of mines and minerals. T4

No I wouldn't, none the less, there have been conflicting stories as to whether the air quality was good enough to sustain life. And its going back n forth, back n forth...good, not good, good, etc. They have been giving these families false hope from the beginning. So I believe this has been handled very badly from the get go. In VA they didn't release any info until they were absolutely sure. Then it was held as a press conference. But I certainly wouldn't expect any one else to risk their life to recover a dead body. At least until they can better secure the project to better safe guard rescue workers.

This is such a tragic case, it is truly sad for all! Of course if it were my family member I would want them to keep digging - just for the closure end of it. But now that more people have been killed in the rescue effort, it signifies just how dangerous the whole ordeal is. I understand why they want to stop - even if the miners had been alive, I'm sure they are no longer - but for the families, this is just brutal.

Well if my family was under 3 miles of earth i would have to assume the worst after 10 days. I wouldnt expect them to keep the search up but i think i would want them to to give the proper burial to them.

you have to save them-the miners, why should they die doing a job? They need rescuing..this whole thing is horrible, I live in Canada and I'm following the story, I feel for the miners families, these rescuers seem to be doing nothing but delaying.

Hard question. However, I would have to say, if they close the mine and seal it, never to go there again, I would probably come to terms with it. It has essentially become their grave and it would be hard to push rescuers to continue going in when they will most likely die as well.

I feel like if there are rescuers willing to go in the mine for rescue/recovery, let them.

If my family was trapped under a mine.
I would rescue them myself or die trying.
