When you think of your child name, picture you child as a baby, and kid, a teenanger, and college student, a mother, and a grandmother, with the names you picked out fit with all of those stages of life? And think of how your child will feel about it....
Personally, I like the name Adrianne

The personality of Kalysta
# You possess a double personality and it's not always easy for you to assume this duality. You aspire to the joy of living, you only ask to share it with others; but you find that this task is not easy, so much so that at other moments you feel disappointed, being down in the dumps and even unable to joke. It's then the sign of a more or less profound depression. The truth is that you abhor boredom : as soon as something bores you, you try to shirk it.
# Curiosity is the quality that seems most precious to you and you cultivate it assiduously. It's this curiosity that permits you to always keep your mind alert, to feel well at ease in all surroundings, and to adapt yourself to any environment.
# You like to live in the present moment. You don't have a past and you refuse to project yourself into the future. The mere fact of only thinking of living the present minute spares you numerous more or less existential anguishes.
# You're good at contacts, you also are gifted for complicity and communication. You understand everything very quickly.
# As a rule, you tend to go too fast, to want to do too many things. But this continuous search for agitation is not what will help you preserve your physical and mental balance. It's not a bad thing that you cultivate a hobby which allows you to satisfy the part of yourself that your professional activities have not fulfilled. The satisfactions which you'll draw from it will help you fight the tendencies to depression that could appear. On the other hand, by trying to preserve an ever young and ever alert mind — a mind that's always fascinated by novelty — you'll remain the eternal adolescent who you intimately always want to be.
# The most surprising side to your character is perhaps your great sentimentality. Despite your appearance as a conqueror, you always very deeply feel a pressing need of affection and friendship. But you often come up against a solid barrier, and your incessant efforts at winning the intimacy of others rarely bear the expected fruits. In other words, your personality is attractive but little engaging. If you can make good relations easily, on the contrary you feel it most difficult to make true friends.

I don't get why people want to name their children unusual names. It really does set them up for alot of teasing in school. They are the ones that have to live with it so why not make it something pretty not unusual. The name Kalysta isn't too bad though Ive heard much worse.

NO, I don't like it!
And I don't like unusual names. I was the victim of an unusual name and even after 50 years, I still hold it against my parents.
Cutesy nicknames are bad enough on kids, but cutesy names or nicknames on adults can be a hindrance to getting jobs, in relationships, and getting promotions.
Also remember that children can be excessively cruel. An unusual name is just one more handle they can use to torment your kid. Do you really want to do that to your child?
Do the kid a favor, give them a good, strong, ordinary name and save the cutesy stuff for pet names.

It is not so much the name that´s unusual as its spelling. Depending where you come from though, it could be more or less common. I guess people get more accustomed to having any kind of names around by the minute. Personally I prefer Callista because it gives more clues as to the true meaning of the name deriving from the ancient Greek "Kallisto" (=Most Beautiful).

I really like the name Kalysta but the spelling might do her in. She might encounter people mispronouncing it or she may have to constantly correct the spelling of her name.
Skylar is another pretty one too. If you are looking for a different spelling try Schulyer (its pronounced the same). Its different and most people know when they see Schulyer-- its pronounces Skylar. I had to ask my friend Schulyer if she had any problem with her name growing up.
Good Luck!!!

Kalysta is very cute. You could also spell is Calista.
But I think Scarlett is very beautiful-- better than Kalysta. Also Skye is nice too, but I like Scarlett better.
Other unusual names are:
Kalerynn (Ka-le-rin)
Trinitie
Paulina
Regina (it means "queen")
Whitney
Quincie
Nina
Lorraine
Janis
Kaci (Kei-cey)
Myletta (Mai-let-ta)
Ryletta (Rai-let-ta)
Jolie
Hope I helped!!

Don't call her Scarlett as a first name because my friends cousin is called Scarlett and people shorten it to Scar and Scarl which she HATES and even cries about!
I quite like Kalysta, I also like Skye (but not Skylar because to me its a boys name but that ones up to you!)
