it's busy at the grocery store, suddenly a new cashier opens up and you're the only one to spot her open, do you quicken your pace and hope you get their first even tho your are 10 m away? And if you don't do you get slighty miffed at the person who was quicker than you?

I never have good luck with that so I don't usually change lanes. We were at a line that had a problem and a new cashier was coming out so when we got to what we thought was her line she directed us to another line and this ho-bag ran like hell to get ahead of us (we were with the cashier and she had to wait for her to get there). We had 2 items and she had a basket-full. Since she ran so hard in her stripper heels we just laughed at her and let her go ahead, she had some serious ho-ing to do I'm sure.

Heck yeah I do. The grocery store is the closest thing to Survival of the Fittest test that we Americans are exposed to. If you don't take that spot someone with two cart loads of groceries will hold up your day.

And yes, I do get a little miffed when somone beats me to it. It's more of a competitive thing than a true anger towards someone else.

I loathe grocery stores. I can't wait until grocery shopping on-line becomes the norm.

Nope, I stand there and pinch my baby until she's screaming at the top of her lungs....people always let you go ahead!

I'm joking of course, I just keep my speed and hope no one else sees that its open...but alot of our stores around town, will not turn their light on, come directly to and tell you they are open, just to keep people from making that mad dash and cutting people off. Once you are in place they will turn on their light.

Every time I shop! I can't stand waiting. I'm the most impatient person ever. I don't even play games like bowling, golf...anything that requires me to have to wait my turn...LOL...and I'm 41 years old....kinda sad, huh?

I stay put, because everybody IN FRONT OF YOU, IN YOUR LINE will run for it.
