You should turn off everything first before turning off your car. But since the A/C places a big drain on your car's electrical system, then you don't want that on when trying to start up your car later.

On newer cars, it makes no difference if you do or do not. On some old cars (early 70's and prior) with non factory air conditioning it may be a good idea! It depends on how the installer wired the controls to the power source. In a few cases, the compressor is on when the car is being started, and that puts added drag on the starter!

Unless you have a classic car, you need not turn off the A/C.

It actually makes no difference. The starting system of the car bypasses all other powered devices. That's why your radio, lights, etc. don't work when you are actually cranking the car. It won't hurt anything at all to leave the a/c on all the time.

Ive never heard that before. What would be the point in that? I don't think it makes a difference.
