Im still new into this car mods thingy. I was just wondering if I want to lower my car, do I have to buy the whole set or just the lowering spring?

Thanks

What's included with the "whole set"? I assume you mean springs, struts and a strut tower brace. In any event lowering springs have a higher spring rate which means they are stiffer. If you choose to use your present struts the car will have an uncontrolled bouncy ride. The present struts are not valved properly or have the capacity to control the new oscillations of the stiffer springs. Save your money and install the complete kit. You'll be unhappy with the choppy ride if you don't. There are many guys like yourself who want the appearance of a cool lowered car with skinny sidewall tires.

From a a reluctant old man I guaranty you'll only do this once because it absolutely will destroy the ride quality of the car. If you want to make it handle like a bear, install larger diameter anti-roll bars front and rear. It'll cost less and the ride over bumps in the road will not change. I'd invest in new KYB struts, a strut tower brace and the sway bars.

Lowering springs are murder on suspension parts and make the car very difficult to re-align, something you'll be required to do after installing the lowering springs.

lowering must be done right or it becomes a very dangerous thing to have that vehicle on the road...

because you are changing and messing with the geometry of the suspension and how it moves thru its normal arc... when going over bumps and around corners...

changing just the springs isn't enough in most cases you also must go to special length shocks ...for lowered cars too..

check with AIM Indusstries in Phoenix for the lower kit for your car
