First you need to find out what sort of fish you have. If it's a livebearer like a Platy or Molly they they will just give birth to baby fish. Unfortunatly in a community tank most of the fry will get eaten. If you have another tank you can move the preggo fish in there to spawn and then back to the main tank once she drops the fry. Otherwise, get a "breeding net". It's a little frame and net that clips to the side of the tank. When the fry are born catch as many as you can and put them in net. Rear them there untill they get big enough so they dont get eaten in the main tank. If it's not a live bearer, then it's more complicated and the fish need to be in a spawing tank to breed. Exactly what conditions they need depends on the type of fish. Ian

It's not a sure sign that she will have more just because she is larger this time around. It could be larger babies. That said, odds are good she will have a few more, most females do on the second time. In fact, they often don't get tot he really larger broods until they are 12-18 months old. They are usually about 5-6 months when you get them from a shop.

Average gestation time for platys is about 28 days, bu that's just an average and she could have them as much as a week early or 3 weeks late and still not be out of what is considered to be normal. So to answer the question, yes, it could be any day, but expect it to take another week or so.

they are pregnant for about 28 days so she should have them sometime this week, watch out for her sitting at the bottom or hiding.
mine had a white looking spot near her anus and later that day I looked into the tank and seen the fry hiding in the java moss.
