And, while I'm at it, any advice for how to remove it??

The fingers , as well as the toes normally swells slightly during the day.This is the reason why you sould always get a ring about 1/2 size larger than one with a snug fit. Try lathering your hand with soap, it has always worked for me.

It probably fit tight in the first place and now your finger has swollen up, making it even more difficult to remove. Try using vegetable oil or a slick hand lotion around that finger. If the ring isn't too tight, it should slide off with a little help.

if you cant get it off lol then use soap or lotion on the finger and on the ring to slip it off

Apply a soap or cooking oil to remove it.

Just use some soap or lotion and it should come off.
If you got it on, it should come off as well, except if your hand got swollen really badly
