You need to have a resume, like any other job you apply for.
If you have never been in movies, tv, commercials, theatre, then this is more than likely what the agents will be looking for on your resume.

An acting resume consist of your skills,(things that you know how to do) such as sports, singing, dance, instruments as many skills as you can think of. Make sure you know how to do them, they may ask you to demonstrate in an audition. You will also need to list where you trained(your school, acting workshops, or a private teacher) and what they taught. For example if they taught cold reading, on camera techniques, commercial techniques etc. Try to audition for plays in your area, at a church, your school, or the local theatre.You have to build a resume. Which means starting from the bottom. Then you will need a good headshot. Attach the both and submit to them to Sag Agents. There are a lot of scams, so it is better if you start out dealing with agencies affiliated with the union.

Go to Sag.org and they will give you a list of agents for your state.

The Sag website also gives the phone numbers, so you can also call them and ask them some simple questions. They may tell you where there are good acting workshops in your area.

The famous part, is more of the luck of the draw. There are a lot of actors that are making good money they you may or may not recognize.

ah, everyones dream, or so they think. First of all those are 2 separate questions. Do you want to be famous or do you want to be an actress?
If you want to be famous, then go do something crazy or stupid, network, meet a million people, market yourself as a product, schmooze a lot, pose for playboy, do something different and get noticed for it, then lose your life, your privacy, respect, and at some point, no one will care about you anymore, you'll get tired of it, and you may have a few lingered fans, but it would be annoying, not glamorous.
but if you want to become an actress, then it can't be something you do on the side. you really really have to study and work for it, read a billion plays, understand the movement of your body, the way your voice sounds, every quirk you have and how to get rid of it. if you have talent and work hard, the fame and respect will come to you. do what you love and what you want first.

Go for auditions and see how you go on for acting you need the following skills and how you can do that
1. Speak loudly and be confident, to become a famous actress you need to speak loud to alot of people so get your family and do some acting and see what they say or if you go to school go for drama weeks or drama clubs.
2. Dont speak to fast - Dont talk of how you would talk normally to one person go abit slower and dont loose the voice tone (volume) and to do this ask your mum or dad to stand other end of room speak loud, slower and dont loose that concertration
3. Dont turn back to audience - Practise doing that for like ask any brothers or sisters to help you act something out ask your parents to sit and watch you act and see if you turn your back to audience.
4. Make eye contact - It is VERY important to make good eye contact with the audience, make a play and show your parents and make eye contact, you cant look away fro, the audience because some people use eye contact and listen and watch your mouth move to understand what your saying
5. Dont lack in confidence and always act your charecter - Such as dont be shy to fake cry its only acting or even hold hands or kiss like I said its only acting it isnt really real
6. Dont over do it - Dont over act and be too dramatic because people would think your showing off and might not pay attention to you

to become a famous actress you really have to have a desire for acting and have had it for a while! and you cant just have that desire after watching a couple of hannah montanna episodes! start low do stuff with small theatre companies and then if you like it work your way up!

start by being a waitress then sleep with a producer. or you could go to a good film school and be an extra, then branch out into fiolm auditions. build up your resume with films from uni students, as it all helps. there are many good extra websites but try not to go for one that makes you pay.
