Is it implantation bleeding or just a new symptom of something else?

The first day of my last period was July 28. My periods usually last 25 days. On the 15 of August I had minor spotting followed by a night of cramping, which was a little more painful than my menstrual cramping. The spotting was not as brightly colored as the spotting I get the day before my periods start. Could this be implantation bleeding or symptom of something else? PS not due till 22 Aug.

Spotting can also be a sign of infection. I would recommend getting in touch with your doctor for further evaluation to see what they say.
