No. Thats tarring all youngsters with the same brush. There are some that are fantastic youngsters out there, very mature for their age and some doing a lot of charity work etc. However, the ones that r causing the trouble, deal with them and their parents. The ones that r causing trouble, keep them in with their parents and that will drive their parents to distraction, but not anybody else which is the way it should be.

In the Czech Republic the age of consent is 15. If young people want to do something they shouldn´t, any time or place will do, also while the sun is shining and even in their own homes. And if the idea is to keep them safe from adults who would abuse them, then just think of all the children abused by their own relatives in the home or by perpetrators who enter the home via an open window...

utter nonsense. Yet again an answer involving punishing millions who never cause any problem is being proposed instead of dealing with the underlying issues - including proper policing and punishment for yobs.

I don't believe that we should be living in a policed state that deals with curfews and the like! However there is a problem with yob culture! Perhaps we should force them to watch movies of violence and gore whilst being subjected to sickness inducing drugs. This way we will be able to 'cure' them of their yobbish culture!

no bloody way. us under-16's hardly have any freedom in the first place, why take away even more of it? at this rate, we won't even be allowed to go out in dark clothes! and another thing - just coz i go to gigs and they finish late at night doesn't automatically make me a yob.

I think yes!! The youngsters should be kept in. I do also think that large groups (gangs) of people should be dispersed when seen. The problem is that there are never any police about!! Too much paperwork keeps them in the police station!! It's about time that the 25+ % that keeps going on our council tax for policing our streets is spent on police officers that are prepared to go out after dark. Recently in my local paper there was a woman police officer that had been allowed to work office hours, so as to allow her time with her children. (I am not against her seeing her Kids, I wish my job allowed me to see more of mine.) But surely as a police officer you sign on the line to work shifts!! Still thats enough ranting from me!!

They should be kept indoors after dark only because of their safety. It would hurt them but realstickly law should not allow them to go out to the strret after dark unless they are along with thier supervisor. I am sorry if anyone hurt with my answers.

Absolutely. They are just babies, after all. What business does a 15 year old have, out on the streets after dark. People bring their pets in at night: why let your children loose in the dark?

yes, there is no need for under 16's to be hanging out in big groups especially around housing estates after dark, well after 11 or so anyway, it's intimidating no matter what age you are, it would be a veryhard rule to bring in though,
