There is always more than one way to look at things. Are you helping a friend out, or are you employed by a friend?
Definitely, if you go by minimum wage, you should be getting $330 for those seven days of work, that is, 40 hours @ $5.15, plus the 16 hours overtime @. $7.75.
However, consider the possibility that she cannot afford more than those $75, so she has to rely on friends to get the project done. Probably, that's why they bought an old house, simply because they are broke. Maybe they are even cutting on their groceries and stuff, just to be able to give you those $75.
On the other hand, if they can afford to pay you well, but they do not, they are robbing you flat out.
It could be said that there are two basic types of friends: the good ones--those who are always there--and the less than OK ones--those who are always there when they need you, but never there when you need them. Which of these two types is your friend?
In any case, you do not have to continue working there, friends or not. As said by Joseph above, retire gracefully.

She is no friend. No one would work 8 hours a day for that!!! Minimum wage in the US is a lot more than that amount.

$75 for 7 days? please. if it were my friend, i'd tell them that im not a slave and i have my own things to do than devote 8 hours to someone who doesn't take my feelings and inconvenience into their consideration.
