It sounds stupid, but no matter how rude they get, kill them with kindness.........pretty soon they start to feel bad and most of the time they apologize.

remain calm. dont add fuel to the fire. remember that the customer is mad at the situation and not on you. keep a nice tone and ask the customer nicely.

smile a lot, tell them you are doing your best to help them have a happy experience, do what ever it takes to turn the situation around. if nothing seems to be working call your supervisor
