AMENDMENT XXII
Passed by Congress March 21, 1947. Ratified February 27, 1951.
Section 1.
No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of President more than once. But this Article shall not apply to any person holding the office of President when this Article was proposed by Congress, and shall not prevent any person who may be holding the office of President, or acting as President, during the term within which this Article becomes operative from holding the office of President or acting as President during the remainder of such term.
This means, if Hillary has Bill run as her V.P. then resigns, Bill Clinton can be president for a third term.
Maybe that's what she has up her sleeve?

No this is not any longer constitutional for bill Clinton to have a third term as President, the undeniable fact that Franklin Roosevelt served 3 complete words and have been given elected to a 4th term, brought about ratification interior the 50s of a constitutional exchange that prohibits serving extra suitable than 2 words as President. additionally in accordance to this exchange a individual can serve 10 years as President presented a President dies in workplace or resigns inflicting vice chairman to take over. for occasion whilst impeachment courtroom cases against bill Clinton have been interior the technique, rumor had it he might wait till at last January twentieth, 1999 to offer up because of fact if Al Gore had become President on January twentieth, 1999 or after, then it could have been criminal for Al Gore to be elected to 2 complete words as President, yet that resignation under no circumstances occurred. even nevertheless whilst Gerald Ford became President in 1974 he became ending extra suitable than 2 years of Nixon's term meaning if Gerald Ford had gotten elected to an entire term in 1976, he does no longer have been allowed to run in 1980. yet in any case the way it works is you're able to be elected to in trouble-free terms 2 words (4 years each and each term) yet can serve 10 years if loss of existence or resignation of a prior President is two years or much less earlier next election.

Not likely. She can have the same results with him running the show and not be in the office. Less of a risk if he runs it behind closed doors. That is the Clinton style. Cannot really blame her. He has leadership skills that she can never have. He is liked by the public way more than she will ever be. I say if she is elected , Slick Willy will be running this country and Hillary will be just a figure head.

Do you remember when slick was elected the first time, hillary said you get 2 for the price of 1.
He can not be President BUT you can bet your bottom dollar he will be active in her administration.
Aside from that her chance is so so for getting in. Her negatives are very high and people have said they will NOT vote for her.
But if she gets in the economy will be sucked down the toilet with all the entitlements she wants.

The constitution also says you can not be v.p. unless you are quailifed to run for pres. He can not run for pres so he can be vp. Furthermore pres and vp must be citizens of two differerent states, they are both citizens of NY.
If H is elected Bill will play a significant role in the administration.

Yes, it is legally possible for William Jefferson (Bill) Clinton to become president for a third term as he only served two terms and was not eligible to run for a third consecutive term. The Constitution does not preclude him from running for another term after another president has presided in the interim.
If Hillary Rodham Clinton does become the next President of the United States, her choice of a running mate for Vice President will not be her husband. Hillary is a smart, intelligent woman who is cognizant of world economics and politics. Bill is no slouch! He was a Rhodes Scholar. Together, I believe they would bring a new awakening to America, much as John and Jacqueline Kennedy did.
The Clinton's are a forceful couple. They have proven their commitment to each other. That commitment indicates to me their loyalty to America. Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter had the same dedication to America and each other.

If Bill was VP and Hillary was impeached (count on it), he could serve a (partial) third term.
Hillary does not have that in mind. She is power hungry and doesn't even want Bill as VP - she just wants to use some of his star power (which works on those too stupid to see past his fake lip biting I feel your pain laughing at a funeral until the camera is on him then faking tears phoniness) to help her get elected.

Why on earth would she go through the process of being elected as the first woman president just to hand it over to her husband?

Nope; the requirements to run for VICE president are the same as those for president, and Bill Clinton doesn't qualify. Personally, I'd vote for him again if he could run. Of the present candidates, I'd like to see Edwards get it.
