I live in an apartment building and I know that the temperature will be affected based on who else is using the cold and hot water at the same time I am. BUT, this has only started happening since I had my old showerhead replaced. The water pressure doesn't seem to have changed. Can I get a showerhead with a temperature regulator inside it? Showering is no fun at all now that I have to adjust the temperature 5 to 10 times per shower!

I have seen times when the shower head will effect the water temperature. Usually if you have one of those single handle valves that as you turn it to the left it goes from cold to hot. One of the thing I have done, is to take off the shower head and remove the flow restrictor (in the head neck) that comes with most new shower heads. This allows more flow and will usually illiminate the problem. The other way may be to take the handle off the valve itself and move the hot cold adjustment ring. To do this you may have to source the manufacuterers website to get instructions on your brand/style of valve.

The showerhead is not the problem. All it does is make small streams out of a large supply of water. The problem is either with the water system or your valve that allows cold and hot water into the shower riser behind the wall.

I don`t believe that your showerhead will affect your water temp. It may be that you need to call the plumber to come look at your hot water heater. I know that in apartment situations, the management will install the smallest, cheapest ones they can find, so it may be about to go. It sounds like the apartment manager should foot the bill for this one. good luck.

Your showerhead is not guilty, for the answer you need to ask your neighbors if their temperature is fluctuating, if it is, you all need to demand service from the management; if it isn't, the problem is in your shower valve.
