sophieb: 2nd part of question means: change resistant to you is somehow, change doesn't happen because of us.

One has no choice except to accept the change when it knocks the door. One cannot keep the door close lest opportunity may go.

I admit that I am resistant to change. I think that comes from my childhood (upbringing) in that my my parents were married over 50 years, I didn't change around from school to school, my dad worked for the same company all his life, my family was community, church, and family oriented, and my family was stationary (lived in the same house all their married life).

(I don't understand the second part of your question.)
