Yes, the majority of Americans voted for a clown for president in 2000 and in 2004.

Oh, I'm sorry... That was just in 2004. The majority voted for the non-clown candidate in 2000 but the clown had a brother in Florida that pulled a balloon trick on us and so the clown got elected anyway...

Those who chose to run for President of the United States must meet citizenship and age requirements. I don't believe it says anywhere in the Constitution or the Amendments to the Constitution that "clowns", "idiots", "jerks", are excluded from aspiring to become President of the United States.
