I don't have a problem with it, and I plan on breastfeeding my little one once he is here, but I do plan on being discrete about it, like draping a blanket over my chest and baby. We were at the mall a week or two ago and there was a gal walking round breastfeeding her little one and she had a blanket covering things up, I mean it was obvious what she was doing, but she was doing it tastefully, you know? As long as there isn't a breast just hanging out, I think it is fine. Hope I didn't totally confuse you.
Have a great day!

As long as it is done discreetly and they make so many different types of cover ups, then its fine. I don't think a woman should have to sit in a hot car or nasty restroom to feed their baby. On the other side, I think that the woman should not flop her boob around for the world to see (yes I've seen it done. I used to wait tables and this younger girl if she was 18 I'd be sursprised came in with her child and a couple of friends. Half way throw the meal. She unbottons her shirt and bra, then proceeds to get the baby out of the carrier play with it a few minutes all the while she is floping free as the wind..A good five minutes before she actually starts to breastfeed, that in my opinion is poor taste. On he other side there was a regular who would come in and you would never tell that she was breast feeding she was that discreet about it.)
I wasn't able to breastfeed my daughter if I am this one I will do it when ever and whereever the baby is hungry but I will be discreet about it.

In order not to make other people feel embarassed, I do not normally breast feed in public. I like it is also kind of curtesy and respect to others. I will choose places where there is a feeding room. But in urgent cases (such as baby crying too madly for milk), I still feed immediately and won't feed in toilets which I think is not very hygienic...

I believe it is a personal decision and each woman has to chose for herself. I don't see anything wrong with breastfeeding in public. However, I'm not comfortable doing it myself, I'm just a self conscious person. I breastfeed my 1 month old but I also pump for when I'm not there or when we're out. If we were out and ran out of stored milk, I would BF if she got hungry.

okay i am a breast feeding mother. yes i breast feed in public. NO i do NOT whip by breast out in front of others. i am as discrete as possible and no stranger has ever seen my breast. no i do not want to see other mothers' breasts. however i would rather discretely feed my own child than get all kinds of negative attention because he's screaming in the grociery store. that's just me though

breastfeeding is so natural and I think it is totally okay if a woman was to feed her baby in public. I wouldn't bat an eyelid. I just hope more people think how i do.

Of course it is ok.
I do appreciate that it makes some people uncomfortable so mothers should use discretion. If the choice is feed your child or the comfort of others there is no doubt which will win.

I have never had a problem with nursing in public. Although I recall this time at a Family Resturant, I was nursing baby at table ( was hidden with her head and my shirt ) the owner came up to me and asked can you please do that in the restroom? I responded by saying "Would you eat your dinner in the restroom?" He said no Mam, I said then ss im not feeding my baby in the restroom.

I think it's okay if you're discreet about it. Don't just whip "it" out for the world to see when it's time to feed your baby. It makes some people feel very very uncomfortable. Use a blanket to cover yourself up when in public. Just my opinion!
