I'm planning to go to Vietnam (and maybe Korea) next year and I want to get a smartphone cause I'm going into university afterwards. Are there any word on what's THE best smartphone I can get there? Any up coming phones, stuff like that? I know that I can check the Sony Ericsson, Nokia websites but I don't know how to read Vietnamese or Korean. And no, the iPhone is not good enough, I want something better. And money isn't a problem, unless it's a ridiculous price.

I'm going to Vietnam/Korea in summer 2008. And I might live there for a while, teach english to vietnamese students. So, summer 2008 until (maybe) winter (december) 2008 or later.

If you want "next year's phone", you will have to wait another 6 to 9 months and see what Nokia have. I'm not sure what they have in development, at the moment, but I do know they have done a deal with Microsoft, so expect a better OS than Symbian in the next generation of Nokia phones. I doubt they will have any of the Microsoft OS phones out before X-Mas though, maybe Easter 2008?
