El Azizia in Libya recorded a temperature of 136 degrees Fahrenheit (57.8 Celsius) on Sept. 13, 1922 -- the hottest ever measured. In Death Valley, it got up to 134 Fahrenheit on July 10, 1913.

The warmest place on the earth's surface is along the equator. the equator is the nearest place to the sun. All countries along the equator may be considered the warmest and maybe most humid place. It is directly hit by the sun's rays.
