I need to know how much energy is released in kilojoules per mol (kJ/mol) when a Carbon-Hydroxide (C-HO) bond is formed. In actual fact im calculating how much energy is released in kJ/mol when you combust 1-pentanol. I really need to know this for my chemistry practical report.

This would probably be found in the SI data book.

Yes there is :
Pentan-1-ol C5H11OH
Heat of combustion : delta H = - 3320 kJ /mol
I have found also :
Boiling point = 138 °C
Density = 0.815 g /cm^3

I hope this can help you
