I am 52 years old, and the man who influenced me the most I worked for as a teenager. He was a German fighter pilot in WW II. He was shot down, captured, and sent to a POW camp in Arizona. After the war, he just stayed once released from the camp (many did). He worked and then started his own business before hiring me. Anyway, he was a very patient, kind, and honest man that made the effort of mentoring young people like myself. He's gone now, of course, but I still find myself saying things and reacting the same way he would in various situations. I even adopted his sense of humor. For a guy who, in 1944, flew in the skies of Germany and France all day long shooting down other planes, he was a great man.

My parents, they set a good example, were strict when they needed to be, and tempered it with love. Because they cared.
It was never "do as I say", but rather the values I learned were by example. Most importantly respect.
Thank you for asking my opinion.
