Hi,

Zonealarm is very good and its free!, i have no problems at all with any AV, (Kapersky, Avast, AVG, nod32, Norton) they all have worked well together.

I would suggest that you keep Zonealarm upto date though, but it is very good!. If you do encounter any issues, email them or visit there support page, theres often some advise that might help!

Hope this helps, good luck!

Got zone alarm and I am very happy with it.You dont need to shut windows firewall down ,but Z/A does that for you when it starts,as having two firewalls running at the same time is not recomended.I also have avast and I want to chuck it .It updates 3 to 4 times per day,and takes all system resources when it does that. Some times an update can be half hour of frozen screens. But then again it's a free version I got so can't realy moan. But I try !!!

Zonealarm is OK.
DON`T run two firewalls at the same time.
You can use any anit-virus on your PC with any Firewall.
Zonealarm should automatically shut down your Windows Firewall at the installation point, but you can manually shut it down.
Remember, don`t run two Firewalls at the same time.

NEVER ever double firewall, it only helps hackers.

I have used zonealarm for year without problems, I have tried 20 firewalls and it came out on to even when I was under a DOS attack by some muppet brain in and IRC channel who thought that he was a hacker...

Zonealarm is good but if you have XP SP2 then you don't need it and it will consume your resources needlessly.

It will work fine with Avast.
