I read a lot of books. It just depends of what I am in the mood for. I love to read Lurleen McDaniel's novels. She writes about young life under going tough choices such as cancer etc.. and how it affects the family and what it means to have someone you love be there or not be there for the "person" or "persons" with the sickness. Although it is only fiction, the way she narrates the story you can almost feel the scenarios of the story as you read. As of right now, I am reading the book called: The Romanovs: The Final Chapter by Robert K. Massie. I've been reading the book for about 1 month now. Its taking me long to finish reading it because the book holds so much information that you cannot comprehend it all at once!!

A couple a year.

I don't like them to influence my own writing at this point.

I am currently reading The Sparrow by Marie Doria Russell. It's about a Catholic Missionary Trip to an alien world in the near future that goes horribly wrong because of what they had thought were good intentions.

I average about a book a week. Currently, I am re-reading the latest Harry Potter book. I read it way too fast the first time.

I'm reading like eight books right now, some sciency stuff by Carl Sagan, some religiousy stuff by a few authors, a book about symbolism, a few cheap fantasy novels, and The Idiot by Dostoevsky.

I'm currently in the market for a life. If you have one let me know.

I'm about to finish my M.A. in English Lit. this December, so I read quite a bit. Right now I'm reading a few things at once to prepare for my oral exam committee, but the longest title of them all is: "The Last Report on the Miracles at Little No Horse" by Louise Erdrich. This is my second time reading it and it is fantastic--which is why I put it on my committee list.

I find it hard to read because I personally feel that movies can capture someones imagination. But when i do find a book I like I'll read it several times like To Kill A Mockingbird and Catcher In The Rye.
