Is Jack far too manly to make a good pirate? ;)

Oh, yes. Pirates are VERY manly. Even the Irish, working-class ones. You'd make a great pirate, Jack. Kind of like Johnny Depp.
Certainly NOT like a "Bride of Leavenworth"!!

Maybe it depends on the left hand or the right. There was a fair bit of sodomy amongst pirates I understand. But as the practice was common amongst the Greek and Roman armies too, and in civilian Rome as a kind of birth control, I don't suppose pirates were any less manly for that. I wouldn't want to face any of them with a cutlass. However I reckon Jack is too good looking for a pirate crew, except perhaps in the movies.
