It seems every time scientists come up with a new medical or biological technology, they're accused of "playing God." Considering God made us in his "image and likeness," doesn't that mean we're supposed to be like Him? I'm specifically wondering about this article:

First and foremost, we are not pre-determined in any image or likeness. Life experience and the overall environment play major roles in our overall development.

"Playing God" cannot be ever fully achieved by science, since only the physiological makeup of humans can be tinkered with. The "mind" can never be truly replicated as there are factors that are beyond the control of the scientific method.

.It Don't Make Sense,
You Can't Make Peace
by Willie Dixon
You have made great planes to span the sky
You gave sight to the blind with another man's eyes
You even made submarines, they submerge for weeks
But it don't make sense you can't make peace
You take one man's heart and make another one live
u even go to the moon and come back thrilled
Why you can crush any country in a matter of weeks
But it don't make sense you can't make peace
You know it don't make sense- you can't make peace (3x)
When you can't make peace....
You can make a transfusion that will save a life
You can change the darkness into broad daylight
You make the deaf man hear and the dumb man speak
But it don't make sense you can't make peace
You know it don't make sense- you can't make peace (3x)

There is danger in playing God such as making our bodies weaker by accident when we are trying to improve it. Yes we can do some good things with this new found knowledge but a lot of bad can be done as well. Are we supposed to be like him... No that would be a bad thing that is why Adam and Eve were not allowed to eat from the tree of life after they ate from the tree of knowledge of good and bad.

Playing God is fine in so far as the actions are concerned, but the attitude and assumptions can go wrong.
