This is very straightforward.
First add the terms on the left:
(4w-28) + (11w +13)=180
So, 15w -15 = 180
Now add 15 to both sides
15w = 195
Now divide by 15 on both sides
w = 195/15 = 13

Solve,

(4w - 28) + (11w + 13) = 180

Expand,

4w - 28 + 11w + 13 = 180

Group,

4w + 11w + 13 - 28 = 180

15w - 15 = 180

Add 15 to both sides,

15w - 15 + 15 = 180 + 15

15w = 195

Divide both sides by 15,

15w/15 = 195/15

w = 13

Finding out the value of w:
(4w - 28) + (11w + 13) = 180
4w - 28 + 11w + 13 = 180
15w - 15 = 180
15w = 180 + 15
15w = 195
w = 195 / 15
w = 13

Answer: w is equivalent to 13.

Proof (go back to the original equation and substitute w with 13.):
(4[13] - 28) + (11[13] + 13) = 180
(52 - 28) + (143 + 13) = 180
24 + 156 = 180
180 = 180

4w + 11w + 13 - 28 = 180
15 w = 180 -15 = 195
w = 13

Since its all addition, you can forget about the brackets

4w-28+11w+13 = 180

Get everything that doesn't have a variable (in this case "w") to one side of the equation and the rest to the other side

So start with adding 28 to both sides and subtracting 13

So 4w +11w -28 +28 +13 - 13 = 180 +28 - 13
Well 4w + 11w is 15 w.

15 w = 195

Then divide both sides by 15

w = 13

(4w-28) + (11w +13)=180

Remove the brackets,
4w - 28 + 11w + 13 = 180
15 w - 15 = 180
15w = 195
w = 13

remember you have to use BODMAS in your equation so,
(4w-28)+(11w+13)=180
remove the parentheses
4w-28+11w+13=180
add the like terms together
4w+11w-28+13=180
15w-15=180
add 15 to both sides
15w=195
therefore,
w=13

(4w-28)+(11w+13) = 180
4w-28+11w+13 = 180
15w-15 = 180
15w = 180+15
15w = 195
w = 195/15
w = 13

so the value of "w" is 13

(4w-28) + (11w+13) = 180

4w + 11w = 180+28-13

15w = 195

w=13

remember to always isolate the w and whatever you do on one side affects the other.

(4w - 28) + (11w + 13) = 180

combine similar terms...

15w - 15 = 180
15w = 195 (by addition property of equality)
w = 13

hope it helps!!
