I have successfully incubated and hatched eggs in a plastic tupperware container. My beardie laid a clutch of 17 eggs and 15 hatched and all 15 survived. Get a plastic container with a lid and poke a few holes in the lid. Add the vermiculite and some water for humidity. Take your thumb and make indentations in the vermiculite as many as you have eggs) and put an egg in each one. Put the lid on and I just put it under a second heat lamp in my tank and put a thermometer over there to monitor temp. (I also put up a screen so that my beardies couldn't get over there). I also have to say that this concept was suggested to me here on yahoo answers because I didn't have the extra cash at the time to build/buy an incubator. Hope this helps.

Well,I'll tell you what I did to hatch box turtle eggs without an incubator.I put moistened vermiculite ( about two inches deep) into an empty diaper wipe container, shut the lid, leaving a slight gap,and set it on my cable box.I kept checking every few days to make sure the vermiculite was staying moist ( NOT wet, though,) After 56 - 90 days, the baby turtles hatched.I've also hatched them on top of the refrigerator! I don't know about turning the eggs, though. You can't turn turtle eggs, because the babies will drown, but I don't know about beardie eggs;you should do a Google search on how to hatch them.Good luck.

I agree. A small styrofoam incubator from tractor supply is around $35. Please keep in mind that your female will drop 2-5 maybe 6 clutches of eggs in a single breeding season. I would not make one. It would be cheap and wold be better for everyone to just buy a cheap one. Also, check your eggs often. Check them when you get them til the time they hatch. Get rid of the bad ones to make room for the good ones.
