Hi, I've been very stressed lately by this. I need to see what other people have to say about it.

I am a undergraduate student at the CUNY (City University of New York) Macaulay Honors College at Baruch College. Its a program that offered me a full scholarship, and that was basically why I chose to attend it. My major is a BBA in Economics with a Real Estate minor. After this upcoming semester, I will have completed 90 credits. My GPA is currently a 3.94. I've also established myself pretty well here, becoming the treasurer of an Economics club, and also getting involved in many of the school's activities.

However, I still don't know why I feel that I'm not quite satisfied with where I am. If I were able to, would it be a wise move to transfer to Cornell Univeristy and continue my Economics studies over there? It'll be only a year and half more of studies if I do transfer. Would this be a wise move? Please help me..

P.S. Money isn't TOO big a problem but its defintely a factor.

To be honest, it sounds like a poor idea. Cornell isn't THAT much better a school, and as you move into your junior year, you will want to get into things like internships, which would be much easier to do in NYC than in Ithaca. In addition, you would probably lose your status in the Honors College, which will serve you well if you plan to look at graduate programs in the long run. You do need to figure out why you aren't satisfied with what you have now. If you just make a change hoping that will take care of some vague restlessness, you may find that the restlessness won't go away. It may just come down to the idea of, "Wherever you go, there you are." If you realize exactly what is wrong, you are far more likely to take the right actions to improve it.

To tell you the truth, in my opinion, I would stick to Baruch College, and to continue my education there if I were you. Baruch offers a full scholarship, and many study grants, and a laptop computer. Cornell is best know for its science majors, and I dont think it is a good fit for an Economics Major. If so, I would apply to NYU instead, since it has the Stern School of Business. I would just finish my honors college program at Baruch and get my HONORS diploma upon graduation, and to transfer at a graduate school at NYU or an IVY league, and get an MBA in Economics. Also I am currently a high school Junior in New York and I am greatly interested in the Baruch Honors College. What type of SAT's and GPA did you have in high school when you enrolled in the program, since they only say admissions is competitive, and I dont know anyone enrolled in the program at Baruch. Thanks and good luck in your future studies.
