My girl and I are living the EXACT situation as you guys (we've been together 2 years, state of love and trust, engagement plans...) but our geographical problem is even worst: she's now living in Canada for a certain period. We're dealing with it with the basic resources : phone, chat on line and a lot of love. Personally, being attracted to another girl is not a risk. I can be really patient because she's a beautiful person that deserve the best. And I believe that she's also trustful.
So despite of the lack of hugs, our relation is still the same.
Don't give up and keep your lover. You feel when it's the right person. Take your phone, call him and tell him how much you care.

You have to have trust. If you do not have trust then you don't have a chance. Be open and honest. Communication is the most important thing in a long distance relationship. There are three things that make a long distance relationship work that is honesty, trust and communication. You have to be honest to trust. Work on your trust issues and if they are based on something that happened in the past either you try to forgive them or you will destroy your relationship. I should know, I am married and currently my wife and I are separated because of immigration issues and she lives halfway around the world, but I love her more than ever. She is my everything.

I'm also in a long distance relationship and my advice is to keep in contact with him; whether through phone, email, or other means. This doesn't mean call him all the time and quiz him everything he's done though, just have a normal conversation as if you were together. If you are having trust issues with him, I would suggest talking to him about it and, if he's redeemed himself, try to trust him again. I hope this helps some.
Good luck!

The first and only way to make it work is to start trusting him. You can't have a local relationship without trust. So It's even harder to have a long distance one without trust.
You two need to work through this. Remember no one is perfect, everyone makes mistakes.

Communication is key in any relationship. You should discuss your future as well as your concerns with your boyfriend. Anything you leave bottled up will just come out later. If you were meant to be together, honesty will bring you closer, not further apart.
