The fear of the number 13 is called Triskaidekaphobia . We have all heard of it, and many have heard rumors as to its origin, but we don't really know the extend to which this superstition reaches worldwide, and for how long this fear has existed.
You will hear different stories but non is proved.

For me number 13 is a normal number, during my 60 years life nothing proved otherwise.

If you need some background about that superstition visit the following site:

theres a social stigma behind the date 'friday the 13th' and how 13 is an unlucky number (i belive in china they dnt even keep a 13th floor in a buildin!). The stigma is that bad things will happen on the 13th or anything associated wit the number 13. its not really a bad number but has become so due to 'horror stories' about the 13th/.

Look on the back of the American 1 dollar bill ...

the eagle has 13 feathers on each wing...
the shield by the eagle has 13 stripes ...
the eagle is holding an olive plant with 13 leaves ...
and the eagle is holding 13 arrows in his right tallon!

If the number 13 is evil, then the founding fathers/USA is as evil as it gets.

However, in my opinion, 13 is a baker's dozen ... so how can it be bad?

The Worst of all the enemies for any human(s) is himself. All his fears are the reason for his own destruction.Every civilization has perished due to this and will do so in the future. 13 or not its just a belief. Go ahead with what you believe in,Thats what will count the most. If you think its good, it will be good. If you think its worse, nothing but worse shall dawn.

Thirteen was the number of a coven - originally 12 men and the influential company of a woman called Mary. Christians burned covens at the stake which is pretty rum considering the coven of Christ - 12 apolstles and Mary Magdalene. (Also Robin Hood - 12 Merry Men and Marian).

I don't know whether there is any fact behind this or not ? but i think that whenever people want to do something good by using this particular no.& when it turns 2 something wrong.then it is consider that the decided no. is not lucky& is not suit 2 them. It may be some1s birth-date,death-date,marriage-date,griha -pravesh, accident, roll no,ph. no.& so..on.... Even people try 2 avoid this no.. sometime some accident is also take place thats why people said NO 2 this.
