How about this, know anyone with a video camera or say a camera phone? Send her a video proposal, maybe even get someone who can video her watching it, so they can send you her reaction. Just let whoever lives with or near her know when to expect it so they can be ready.
Or send her roses, you got a debit card ( I know I been in the military, get on-line send her roses to her work and have the card read will you marry me, of coarse make sure they put it in an envelope with out a "window" that way she has to take the card out and read it.
You could even order her ring on-line and have it sent to her home, with a message inside saying what you want to say!!
Asking her on-line may not be taken seriously she may think your just being silly but if you send her roses or the actual ring then she will definitely know it real! Good luck and Congrats-she would be crazy not to marry a true "HERO"-=Thank you for all you do for our country!!!!!!!!!!GOD BLESS YOU AND ALL YOUR FELLOW SOLDIERS!!!!!!!!!!

The local TV station will set things up so not only will she see you, but you'll see her reaction. Do you have a ring? If so, I would probably have someone who is with her have the ring so they can show it to her and she can put it on for the camera. Write out exactly what you want to say to her and make it really romantic. This is so sweet! Best of luck to you!

awww, thats sweet!!! I say that you mail her a magazine subscription of wedding dresses and give her a day or 2 to eat it up, then ask her..... dont ask on email or IM..thats too basic and boring. When are u going home? U cant wait til the day u go back to the states and she greets you, have the ring right then and there

i dont think you should ask her through an email or an im!
my husband asked me to marry him in my bedroom, and it was the one thing that i remember the most about our relationship, yea i love him and owuld have said yes no matter where we was, but i just wished it would have been more romantic. i think you should wait till you get a leave and ask her, but if you want her to know how much you love her u should suggest the idea, but not propose like that
