If you don't eat well on your own, and grandma cooks well for you, that is a big factor.
Otherwise it may be just a coincidence. I've been camping three times in my entire life and all three times I've gotten my period the next day.

Hi Alley, I think you are probably going to Grandma's about the same time or close to the same time of your visits'. You have fun and a good time around Grandma and being more relax without a care in the world may also be a factor here. I wouldn't try to figure it out just enjoy Grandma and have a good time. That's all that truly counts. Lol
A Friend.

Grandma may not be too old to be getting her periods. Either way, here is why females who are close (in the same house, best friends, etc.) get their periods at the same time: Just like animals, our bodies are driven subconsciously to procreate. When we are on our periods, we put off a scent (pheremones) that is sometimes so slight that the we don't know we smell it. Like male animals, the males in our group seek out the most fertile females, also for procreation. So it's a competition to get the male to mate with us; if one of the females in our group is fertile, we want to be fertile too so we have just as much of a chance. We don't even know we are doing it. It's a proven fact that this happens.

It is a common occurance for women who reside together to get their periods at the same time. Eg boarding schools, school camps etc.
It is thought to be the phemorones given off during mensuration trigger the same in others.
Is it possible that Grandma has some medical condition throwing her hormones out of balance, whickh could cause her to give off the same phemerone?

This is purely coincidence. I have heard of 2 people getting their period at the same time though. Grandma is obviously too old for that though. Coincidence is all i can figure. Good luck and God bless you.

It's the hormones.....Happen in college all us girls started having our at the same time. Maybe your or her hormones are bouncing off one another. It is odd but can happen. If I'm around my mom a lot I am late each month...

i barely ever get sick when i have my period now. maybe if you get on birth control pills like i am, it will hurt a lot less. take an ibuprofen and eat a little and it should make your stomach ache go away.

If you go to your grandmother's every month, maybe it's a coincide and the timing is quite close (puberty comes every month). I've read from a textbook if another woman or girl is having their period, the phermones from their period influence other women's bodies to start having their period as well.
