I would probably use Facebook. You can search by University, program of study, classes, or even where he lives at. It's a great program for networking for college students. You will need an account or a friend to help you out.

if you happen to know any establishment he/she is to frequent most of the time or has frequented before, you're still not in the dark. All you need to find are his/her basic descriptions, then ask those persons you think would help you, such as a landowner, to whom the person may have rented his/her apartment or a librarian to whom the person have had made book stuffs. Anyone who you think would have any kind of record about the person would actually help.
(I've read many novels, this must be easy for you.make it count. ;b)

Sure. Check out the major he is in. Check what classes are required in the year he is in. Take some time to check out the classes and see if he shows. Talk to any female TAs and describe him to them, they might be able to id him for you. Good luck.

I have found many people posting an add on craigslist.com... There is a section where you can search for people, sometimes people reply for them, sometimes they find the add and reply themselves! Hope it helps! Good luck
