B. You hum that part, but do it in an artful way like you are reinterpreting the song rather than making an admission that you are so lame you don't know the words. It helps if you tap the beat on the dash and move your head around like you are really into it.
Sometimes if the other person isn't paying attention, you can theoretically fake them out.

I do believe I just mumble the part as low as possible until I can find a word I know to sing out loud! Or I'll just hum it.

I do that all the time!....really I do! I'll have no clue what the words are but I keep on singing and it all comes out sounding really weird but hey, at least I kept the beat!
