this is our childs 1st yr (he 7 yrs) in little league and he really likes it and wants us to sign him up again in fall. There is a spring practice and fall practice. My question since he wants to do this again should we be bringing him to the batting cages or throwing the ball with him to keep him up on what he learned? We would but he never askes should we just bring it up and take him once a week?Or should we just give him a brake between seasons and only take him if he asks?We don't want to "push" him but we don't want him to fall behind the other kids ether.I would like to hear from other parents on what they do between seasons.

My husband use to play catch with our son all the time, even during off season... They also went to the batting cages, and eventually bought a pitching machine. My husband and son's relationship became very close and helped with his teen years. I also played catch with my son and was team mom and my hubby even coached the last few years when he played....

You may ask your son if he wants to play catch or go to the batting cages. I am sure he will be thrilled. You will be able to tell if he is having fun or not, if you feel he is being pressured and not enjoying it, then don't push him.

We also played family ball games. And we have great memories of those days.

Good luck and have fun, faith
