Kobe. Kobe and Carmelo can both shoot the ball very well. Kobe is quicker though and plays better defense. So, the verdict is Kobe.

Kobe Bryant is the better scoring guard and also the better defensive player so I'll give KB24 the edge in this matchup. Even though, Kobe has never been the effective leader to lead his team in the playoffs but he has been the perfect complementary player to Shaq during the Laker's 3 championship run. So what Carmelo needs to prove is can he either be the effective team leader or the perfect complementary player to help A.I. get his first championship ring. Melo can not be mention in comparison to Kobe until he proves he can contribute to his team's success in the playoffs.

Kobe became and Melo is already like Kobe all he desires is the dishing and he would be only like kobe kobe became extra suitable than melo @ age 24 because of fact he contributed to nba finals trophies and had 3 whilst in comparison with Melo's 0 as of now

its unfair to compare the 2.. kobe has been in the league for awhile and melo only a few.. if u compare them at the start of their careers, melo is way better.. if u compare them at this point of the year, melo is a physically strong sf that can really score, and kobe is more of finesse. in defense kobe edges melo. if i were to choose between the 2 at this point id easily take bryant. but melo is close to being the best scorer in the league.. he was number 1 before he was suspended in the ny game and before iverson came.
