You can close it by deleting your complete yahoo account, including your email. There is no other way.
But...your questions answers and profiles will still be search-able and readable online as long as Y! answers exists.
So if you're trying to get away from certain people reading your questions and answers....Sorry thats not possible.
I know this because i did all that and my old profile is still there, and all my questions and answers are still there, i can even send my old profile a message, but of course i don't get it because my account is closed.
If you get yourself suspended, then all of your answers and questions will be deleted and your profile will be gone.
or so I hear. So if you want to go this route, start acting like a troll and get a bunch of violations.

You can't really terminate it unless you're suspended.. But why are you leaving? Did $mitty say something?

Well, you can stay inactive for 90 days, for email and everything else, and shuts down all your accounts
